No
Now with a bit more context: are you offering to help someone with the year end reviews? How do you think you would do that? Compensation information is confidential (as much as you read about entry level comp here it is confidential, especially when tied to people), heck before you even get there the names of employees and this personal information isn’t shared outside of the bank, let alone with someone networking.
So just based on that no. But then next step, how would you help? This person is going through budgets, the reviews of colleagues, making sure bonuses are correct, etc - what are you expecting to bring to this conversation?
I don’t mean to be harsh, but trying to be realistic. Imagine being the person on the other side, what would you think?
appreciate your enthuasiam
I've been in the same boat and you just won't impress him and make a good first impression
however, i wouldn't advise on any help to this guy. anything u say will most likely put this guy off as ur just a guy in college.
just wait and email him back
