How to Treat a 1st Employee in a Startup
I have a first employee in a consulting startup of mine. He's been very dedicated since our founding (which was a different ecommerce business). He's not necessarily a co-founder, he has more come on and been under my direction and learned the skills I already had (as opposed to bringing his own vision and totally unique skillset). He's dedicated, relatively capable, and my only full-time worker at present.
I have a number of ventures underway in the coming years, with the marketing consultancy as a major project.
I'm aiming to bring him onboard and make it a fair / equitable, and I'm not sure how a non-founder "stake" would work out - anyone out there been in a similar situation?
