I keep getting rejected

I applied to multiple BB and boutique banks for an internship. I keep getting rejected. My only prior experience is in real estate and I’m currently enrolled in an MBA program at a non target (80th percentile). I’d love some advice. Don’t sugarcoat, be honest. I want real advice.

So what I have gathered so far is that you entered a top 160 MBA program, haven't done much networking, and want IB.

If that is the case then the real advice I have for you is that you shouldn't enter an MBA program outside of the full time T25 programs and expect to recruit IB. If you were T50, you could probably find some alumni in a few BBs and MMs but if I get on US news and I have to spend 5 minutes digging to find your program I'm not going to give you an interview over one of my own alumni.

OP - most people get rejected. Multiple times. You know who doesn’t? People who don’t switch jobs (you’d be surprised how many there are) or take chances. And that’s fine too.

Keep going. You are not alone.

Good Luck

I used to do Asia-Pacific PE (kind of like FoF). Now I do something else but happy to try and answer questions on that stuff.

My advice: get used to it. Collect your “no”s and keep moving forward. improve where you’re weakest, network, and polish yourself. lil adversity ain’t a bad thing.

"Out the garage is how you end up in charge It's how you end up in penthouses, end up in cars, it's how you Start off a curb servin', end up a boss"

Like everyone else, I’ll tell you to network. It’s undeniable that you will not get into any IB internship without networking. Go for resume drops, don't apply online as much. The chances are way too small for an online application.
