IB Cancelled Internship on Resume

I'm a rising senior hoping to break into IB. This summer, I got an IB internship opportunity but due to COVID-19, my internship got cancelled. As a result, I was able to land a small PE gig. Should I include my cancelled internship on my resume? Do you think that will increase my chances of getting an interview versus not putting it on my resume?

It's not a big PE firm at all and it might be considered a downgrade from my IB internship but at least it's something to put on my resume. Honestly, I got lucky, just send out as many cold emails as possible to more boutique PE firms b/c typically their process is a bit less structured. I'm hoping to pursue a career in IB FT once I graduate. Given that you are in IB, any advice on what I could do to best position myself for FT especially in this COVD environment?

if anything, you can have a single line that says

"Offered Summer Analyst Position at JP Morgan Investment Banking Division, M&A Group - Summer 2020"

The only reason to list this is to let the screener know that the other bank thought you were a good enough candidtae to be offered their internship...so the only reason to list this is if the company was hot shit...so for example, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, etc...

In my opinion, most of the advice on here is wrong. Sure, if you are severely crunched for resume space, then maybe it's worthwhile not to include. However, given that this year is completely different due to COVID, it's great to differentiate yourself from the people who made no efforts to get an internship. There's a huge difference between getting an internship that was canceled compared to getting nothing at all. One line should suffice. Just have the position and its intended time period and just add a canceled due to COVID-19 line.

I'm going crazy. I've seen like two threads with the exact opposite advice (Yes, include it) as this thread.
