You don't have time to be stressed
You don't think about the hours, you just do as you are told.
You are done when you are done with your work, and it is unlikely more work is coming i.e. after 10pm and relevant associates/VPs/MDs are gone.

I could imagine myself doing it. But that's because I lack a very exciting lifestyle. I find myself quite bored throughout the day and it actually wouldn't be too bad to keep my mind preoccupied with this type of work.
Who said they don't bother people?
People are clearly bothered by the hours, that's why they ask if you can put up with in in the interview process. You don't have to work 80 hours a week for the rest of your life. Just 80 - 120 for the next 2-8 years. Then you have lots of money and relatively (read:still more than 40) easy weeks.
