IBD SA--> PE SA --> IBD FT

Hey all, I am a rising Junior at a Big 10 State school (3.75 GPA, double major and a technical minor) with a LMM summer IB analyst internship my sophomore year and some other internships before that not directly related to finance. If I wanted to give private equity a try and received an internship for my junior year, how hard would it be to recruit for FT IBD roles in New York. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Does it matter the AUM of the PE firm. What if it was around 20 Billion?

Lol if you get an internship for a $20bn AUM PE fuck banking stay there for FT.

But with that being said, the odds of a non-target with a good but not stellar GPA getting a UMM/MF PE internship is close to 0% and banking internship will be 20-30x easier to land (not exaggerating).

Unless of course you have connections then thats a diff story
