Informal Introductory Call

Hi monkeys,

So I am a rising senior at a non-target and I cold emailed a managing partner at a real estate private equity firm (Boston-based) over the weekend. On this email I had also attached my resume as well. Today they just got back to me today asking for my availability to meet with the the CEO for an “informal introductory video call”.

I was curious as to if anyone of you would guess what to expect or if there is anything I should be aware of? I am not entirely sure if this would function as a first-round interview or not because they don’t have any actual entry-level positions open at the moment. Thanks in advance!

my guess would be probably some sort of informal interview, they might ask you why real estate, why us and you’ll have some time to ask questions to learn more about the firm. It’s probably so they can get to learn more about you and if they like what they hear they could contact you in the future when a position opens up
