Investing in stocks while working at BB
Hey all - question for you guys. Currently work at a BB and wanted to know what the exact restrictions were to invest on the side (stocks, ETFs, etc.) while working at a large BB firm. Is this possible? What are the exact Compliance restrictions? I did hear that you can only invest in particular stocks/sectors and that you cannot sell intraday. There is a buffer of when you can sell. Is this true?
I would appreciate if anyone can share some knowledge/details on this.
Thanks in advance.
30 day Hold periods and some don't let you short.
GS and LAZ (maybe others) have banned trading altogether.
I think most have banned trading individual stocks completely. You can only buy/sell mutual funds and ETFs unrelated to your industry coverage
You should copy and paste this into an email to either HR or compliance at your bank. I am guessing they would have better insight than this forum.
