Investment analyst -> Equity research
Hi all,
So i just accepted a position as an investment analyst at a healthcare company. Briefly, the job would be managing one of their portfolios around 700M-1B, researching, staying up to date, and writing analysis on fixed income market (mostly bonds), and creating investment models for management. My question is, being this is a healthcare company, and not let's say prudential capital or Bridgewater, what would my best route be into equity research. Is this investment analyst job a good segue into an equity research position in a few years? What would a typical investment analyst career path be. Thanks!
