About the Role

The Analyst on the team is responsible for
• Transaction identification & origination
• Lead analysis on potential acquisition targets and research on market opportunities, industry trends and potential strategies

Structure and valuation of potential transactions
• Preparing internal and external presentations
• Developing marketing materials

Transaction evaluation
• Support due diligence on transactions
• Communicating diligence results to senior members of iptiQ and Swiss Re management
• Managing external advisors
• Managing due diligence and logistics
• Developing and analyzing financial models

Transaction execution
• Support financial and legal structuring
• Support the transaction approval process
• Preparing of materials for decision making

Special Projects
• Support financial analysis on specific projects for the iptiQ CFO

Team organization
• Tracking and coordinating key internal and external relationships

About the Team

The iptiQ Origination and Structuring team is responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing acquisitions/investments in insurance in the US, European and Asian markets and in-line with the iptiQ M&A strategy.

About You 

• Experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or the in-house Corporate Development / Mergers & Acquisitions team of a leading financial institution
• M&A execution experience is required - Strong transaction execution skills with ability to work independently and proactively on multiple assignments and to strict deadlines
• Experience in financial modelling and valuation methodology
• Strong familiarity with the insurtech market, including recent transactions, strategies and valuation developments
• Fluency in English; other European languages advantageous
• Good knowledge of insurance market including the fundamentals of accounting, regulation, tax, investments and capital
• Bachelors in Finance, Economics or similar quantitative discipline desirable 
• Analytical rigor, reliable, accurate and with attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collect and synthesize large amounts of information
• Team player comfortable working in demanding, fast paced environment
• Willingness to travel
