Is it over with a B+
Semester's been a little rough and I am on track to get a B+ in a class that I really shouldn't have. Will IB/ high finance HR notice this and ding me? Do they check grades in specific classes?

No I don't think so. If they did that, they would hardly have anyone to pick from, because a lot of people have situations like yours. It;s more about overall GPA, so work on getting/keeping that up.
Isn't the point to have "hardly anyone to pick from" considering the size of analyst classes is relatively small to # of applicants?
yes but it's one class, so don't worry about it. Just don't let it happen again
Also, the "best and brightest" that those banks are always talking about hiring are becoming harder and harder to find, so it's not like they only hire gods anymore
Sorry to hear that but no one will ever want to employ you. Good luck
Any recommendations on what positions I should try out of college? Maybe certain BO roles then lateral to IB?
That, or go for a small firm and then leverage that experience to get a role later on at a larger bank/firm/shop
Tf is up with these dumb ass questions lol fuck me but come on...
You never asked what class it was.
Lol what class was it?
.
It's just one class... your gpa won't drop from a 4.0 to a 1.8
With me, when I get a B+ I think that it is better than I expected.
Most likely.. have you considered tech sales?
Scroll up and see the class that the B+ is in
No worries. Make sure your cumulative GPA is solid. Also if they ask you in the interview, there must be a reason - you can explain.
It's over. You should commit Seppuku immediately.
Lawyer up, hit the gym, delete Facebook, commit sudoku
You should try a little less. I cant remember which class it was in college, some management one, but the professor said most CEOs were C students in college.
And thats why your "professor" works in academia and is not a CEO...
wow such a wise remark from the guy who's asking this question in the first place!
OP all your work, effort, sweat and tears have gone down the toilet. When people look at your resume and see 3.9 GPA, ex-banking internships, club leadership positions, all they're remember is that "B" in some random subject - you're fucked
Rest in peace. Shoulda got an A...
