Is it true you can almost never take time off in RX compared to M&A?

From what I could gather, most analysts can take a week or two off in M&A but that it’s nearly impossible in RX due to the nature of how long mandates last. Is that true?

Not at all. Have a bunch of friends in RX who have time off when things are slow. If a deal is live then you’re all over it and can count out having free time whether you’re in RX or M&A
