Is this a good career path?

I come from a non-target, major in Marketing, and will be graduating next year. I interned at a BB last year in Asia in ER and realized my personality is much much more suited to a sales role so I've been trying to land myself a graduate role ever since.

I have been very fortunate in the search process and have managed to secure a role in buy-side institutional sales but am a little hesitant about whether it really is a good idea to start in the buy-side. I'd really appreciate anyone's two cents on the topic!
