IU Kelley or Vanderbilt

I got into both and I was wondering which one would it be easier to break into elite boutiques, my goal is Lazard. I went a top 5 public school and I would say I am decently smart. So can I do better job wise being top at iu Kelley or being mediocre at Vanderbilt because everyone prolly there is really smart

The IU Kelley bubble has really been pumped up on WSO. There really is no debate here - Vanderbilt is a much better school and will provide you with much better opportunities

I'm a Vandy alum so I'm biased but honestly don't think you can go wrong there. Had the time of my life and really didn't want to leave, the city / school are a blast.

On the recruiting front, can honestly say myself and most people I know who wanted to be in IB and took recruiting somewhat seriously ended up with offers. The school is respected and there are a lot of alumni on the street, who in my experience are very willing to help other Vandy grads. For context, I'm at a BB, a lot of people I know ended up at other BBs, and quite a few at EBs as well - think there are 3 off the top off my head who I know at Lazard since that's specifically where you're targeting.
