Is CCBSI a reputable group? Seems like a mix of corporate banking and investment banking.

Yes it is reputable, but it is primarily just straight corporate banking, not a cross-group. Houston has both generalist (regional) and Energy-specific coverage teams covering the lending relationships for the firms.
Sometimes the line can get a little blurry between CCBSI and Lev. Fin but there is definitely a difference in the general scope of work, compensation and exit opportunities. Still a very good opportunity, but not IB.
Thanks for the info. I'm currently in IB but looking for something less active like CB.
