Just finished my Freshman year. What are my next steps?

Just finished my freshman year. My GPA is nothing that'll turn too many heads, but I managed to get an internship this summer at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, working with one of the top teams of financial advisors in New England.

I've taken a look at the 400 questions, Rosenbaum, etc, but haven't really gotten cracking on that front.

What are my next steps if I want to have a chance at breaking into IB? Am I screwed based on GPA/College, or do you think I'm early on enough to have a solid crack at it?

Cheers.

Why would you be screwed? A 3.5 isn't that bad, and you can put the effort in to increase it when classes begin in the fall. A PWM internship at MS is also pretty good for a freshman. You'll be fine.

To infinity... and beyond!

Take an extra easy course in the fall that won't take up much time. if you can do 18 hours and get a 4.0 you should be able to get GPA to a 3.55/3.6 by end of first semester depending on how many hours you have.

As for the gaming channel that would be cool for a resume but spin it light on the gaming, heavy on the YouTube content - did you monetize it, work with advertisers, etc? Most people won't be overly impressed with high levels on any one game, but even a basic revenue-producing YouTube channel is an interesting conversation.
