Lease analyst Exit opps?
Hey fellow monkeys. I was curious about the chances of going from a lease analyst or even research analyst to acquisitions analyst? Like is that out of the realm of possibility? Any one ever hear of this?
Thanks

Sure -- likely within a lease type sector i.e. office or retail. To be honest, most of a NNN or any type of office/retail space is both sides running an ARgus model and then comparing and negotiating. Most of that process involves understanding lease structures and the impact of value they have on the property. Don't psych yourself out about exit ops. IMO there's way too much talk about that on these boards. Be confident, leverage your experience, and it'll play out.
I started in a wholesale analyst capacity and immediately jumped to a top tier REPE finance/acquisitions job. I personally chose finance/asset management because I felt it gave me more than enough exposure to the deal making side without all the risk and pressures sales job generate.
