No single person, a group, or a country is truly good or bad. They are complex because they are all trying to survive and thrive. Sometimes horrible things happen and sometimes good things happen.
You SHOULD look at both the good and the bad and assess what's going well and what's going poorly.
Focus on all the negative stuff and it makes the US look horrible. Focus on all the good stuffs, and the US looks like a paradise. Neither is true.
