Life after corporate securitisation
Hi all, I'm a 2nd yr structured finance analyst at a mid tier IB in London. I mainly work on funding / reg cap trades on corporate and auto books across europe and while I quite enjoy it, I'm thinking of moving on. I don't really want to stay in the vanilla bank funding area and I have been thinking of two options, either focusing more on reg cap trades or going into leveraged loan CLOs.
I've got two questions that maybe someone will be able to answer:
1) how easy is it to switch from corporate securitisation (abs, clo) to leveraged loans?
2) which banks in London are best for synthetic trades, esp agency (not purely on own books)?
Thank you all!
