Loan originators
Hey guys I have an interview for loan origination role. What are some talking points more so what should I mainly expect to be doing? It mentions a few duties; preparing quotes, term sheets, and packages as well as market research. Also what can I do to really kill it and move to the next level?
basically sales job, the most successful originators are usually athletic African American male or good looking blonde
umm what? is this more of your banter that is only found at GSE's who produce $1 gazillion annually?
What is your past experience? A loan originator isn't a role someone is typically hired into with no background in CRE lending
I was mainly doing market research for a PERE and a little bit of Argus work.
And you're interviewing for a role that is purely a production role? It seems like with that experience you'd be better off starting in underwriting then maybe moving into originations once you know the business a lot more/have some connections.
