Making The Wrong Move
Seeking some advice after a move. Was at a big 4 advisory firm hoping one day to break into banking, through some luck got an interview at a small no name in a city closer to my home. This firm advertised as a bank with a small growing consulting arm. While after about 3 days here it was easy to see they were a consulting firm with a small banking arm. No real consistent deal flow very hit or miss on when or if deals come in at all. They threw me into the consulting side which is miserable work not even an interesting consulting area. Has anyone also made this mistake and if so how did they get out? Is it too soon to try and jump ship? Do I have to stick it out? Any advice is appreciated.
Hi throwingitaway, any of these topics helpful:
You're welcome.
have not made the jump but same boat as you. if you could give any advice on what you did to transition out of big 4 that would be awesome.
feel free to dm me any questions you may have. Broadly speaking I did just about everything online apps, networking, and spent a ton of time studying technicals and pretty much anything that seemed remotely relevant.
