MBB vs Direct Industry?
What do you think is the best for a guy who is in his 20s to join? Firms like BCG/Mckinsey vs P&G/Mars ??
Is Mckinsey same level of prestigious as Mars inc?
I have been working at P&G for 3 years as business analyst. And i used to think that Mckinsey is the best brand name you can get out there for you resume in terms of prestigious. But recently my friend from Mars told me that his company is not worse in terms of prestigious as Mckinsey. Which made me double-think my view.
Personally to me Mckinsey was the most pretigious/elite company in the world. It's like HBS/GSB

This sort of decision depends on waaaaaaay more factors than you're leading on. It's not as simple as a brand name. Question #1 should simply whether you want to work in consulting or not, lol.
So...you used to think McKinsey was more prestigious because of what the general consensus was in the industry. Then you had a friend who works at Mars, talk about how he thinks the place he works at is the best. And because of that, you know think that your friend is correct and therefore Mars is the most prestigious consulting firm?
Goodness gracious, I really hope you're trolling.
This has got to be a troll.
If this isn't a troll, then some answers below:
MBB is more prestigious than P&G/Mars, by a long shot. No. It is more prestigious. Prestige is relative in a lot of ways, but you're not going to go wrong by getting MBB on your resume. It'll propel you ahead farther than almost any opportunity. Your friend, though likely well-intentioned, is incorrect.Perferendis amet et quis alias praesentium et quidem quibusdam.
