Military Officer Recruitment Question

Hey all,

I am a frequent reader, infrequent poster. I just had a quick question regarding recruitment after business school for former military officers. I understand that business schools look favorably upon military officers, but my question is more geared towards the perception that banks have of these candidates. Imagine a scenario in which a person graduates from a non-target school in a liberal arts major with a decent GPA and then enrolls in the Marine Corp as an officer before getting an MBA. After business school, if the military experience is the only post-graduate work experience this person has, will he be attractive to banks, or will he lose out to the guys with previous "business" related experience? I hope to head into IBD, ECM, or S&T when I am done with service.

Thanks in advance.

There is a big military network on the street, but they are mostly academy guys. That's irrelevant though because the question is if they look favorably on military experience--which they do. the academy hook-up is better for making contacts.
