Military to Non-Target Southwest State University To Private Equity For Pension Fund

Hello,

I was in the US Air Force for 4 years, left to finish college at an extremely non-target college in the southwest and was able to break into Private Equity for a state pension fund. I have competed against peers from all over the country, including some a Ivy League schools and have worked in the field for about 6 months now. Any questions and I will answer!

I transition out of the Marines this coming October after 8+ years active duty (enlisted). I'm studying finance at Penn State, and am looking to end up in PE. I should be finished with school in December of 2017. Is there anything I should be sure to do as I make my transition?

Thanks.

Nice man, Im almost exact same situation trying to get to where you are at. 4 years Navy finishing up my junior year at southwest non target. Congrats! Hopefully one day I can get there too
