Modeling Conventions/Preferences

I know it mostly just comes down to personal opinion, but I'm curious if practitioners in the industry tend to have a preference one way or the other for these stylistic choices when building a model.

  • show expenses as negative and sum everything vs. keep everything positive and subtract within the summary cells

  • put most things in one big long sheet vs. separate it out into different tabs

Any other stylistic choices you prefer when building a model?
