MS and Bain
Got an offer from both - MS M&A and Bain & Company. Both offices in New York. I'm not particularly interested in jumping in finance vs. general business strategy right away, but do think that I'd like to work at a mega fund in PE down the road (2-3 years). Which offer should I accept and why?
MS M&A...one of the best groups on the Street...consistently sends indivduals to top-tier PE shops...
This is a no brainer
Never mind, didn't fully read the original post. yeah, MS M&A is the way to go.
Wait, I thought you were currently at M/B/B?

haha!
henceforth everything on this board from my end shall be read with a grain of salt
That's hilarious.
everyone on this board is a fucking liar!
He could mean he received a return offer from Bain & Co.
uhh Bain Capital?? take Bain
I love how many liars there are out on message boards. I just had a slew of PMs sent to me from a poster here who said he went to my alma mater and now works at GS for his dad. Told me to go to Cowen over UBS because UBS "sucks" or something like that. Then I checked into his posts and his profile says he's only 22, meaning he likely isn't a 2nd year analyst like he said. Then I checked further and one post said he was 25 working at a F100. Another said he recently graduated from Boston College (not my alma mater) and left working at a MM bank after a year or so. In another he said working at BoA would be a great gig but trashed on UBS, a far better ibank in nearly every capacity.
It's really hilarious to see how much people lie to make themselves feel special on a freaking message board...
