my name
so during networking sessions and while e-mailing alumni for advice, etc - i always introduce myself by my nickname because its easier to pronounce and remember. however my resume and cover letter only refer to my full legal name (which most people can't pronounce and doesn't really seem correlated to my nickname). if those same analysts i'm speaking to are the ones looking through resume piles, chances are they won't really put my face to the name they see.. should i change how i introduce myself or is there something else i can do to stay remembered - what do you guys think
thanks
My name is [Real Name] but friends call me [Nickname]
Just put on your resume like this:
John (Pole smoker) Smith
This is the proper solution.
Put your photo on your resumé.
