Need Advice - Prospective 2018 SA Intern Overwhelmed
Boys,
Boss Baby speaking. I currently attend a target school with a 3.84 GPA; excuse the subtle flex, but you know I had to do it on 'em. Regardless, I have failed to truly follow up on those positive stats; I haven't been networking lately, nor have I completed any applications. In fact, I don't even know how to write a cover letter yet.
As I crawled to a local study lounge in NYC, smuggling a few Natty Lights in my backpack, I stared into space as I realized that I'm currently in a state of mental chaos when it comes to applying for SA positions. I really don't know where to begin; the whole process altogether is pretty overwhelming and I am only further bombarded by the successful, schwifty moves made by my frat bros.
All I have as of the moment is a sexy resume; however, I don't know where to really start this. Can I acquire some info as to how I can ideally break down the process for efficiency? Would highly appreciate it.
Signing off,
The Real Boss Baby
this is dumb
Thanks for your insight, hopeful123. 1v1 me on the links and I'll fully crumble to your baseless criticism
Google and look for short cover letter templates and make it your own. IMO the resume is the hard part, but guess you're good to go there. With a high GPA at a respectable school should get you a handful of interviews despite the lack of networking.
Head back to that study lounge, minus the natty lights, and crank out one online resume. They're honestly all the same after that. Check OCR too, those deadlines are probably approaching quickly
Download the BIWS or WSO cover letter template. You go to a target school and your GPA is solid just start applying and you will see a positive result man!
I've broken up with my girl, binge drink shitty beers, and am behind on networking for IB recruitment. Should I send it, my dude?
To whom'st'ever hit me with a monkey shit, I hope your next game of golf is purely slices and bunkers.
Bump
