Need opinions, Big4 vs BNP Paribas vs Local (elite) boutique

Interested in your opinions on what you would think is the best move.

I have three options:
-local Big4 (M&A team)
-local BNP office (CIB)
-local M&A boutique that is doing mid-large cap deals, considered one of the better boutiques in my country (very experienced MD).

Unsure what would be my best choice (EU, not UK)

All are good options. I would recommend choosing the firm that has the best people. You will be working alongside them for many hours so you want to be on a team of people that you like. In terms of brand recognition, BNP is a great firm and could provide more opportunities down the road than Big 4. Depending on the boutique that may be a better option than BNP.

I think we could all use the extra details to give a better advice.

Otherwise, BNP would likely be the best choice for an international career (esp. in Europe). It all depends on how strong they are in your country and which team it is in CIB. The M&A boutique or Big4 roles would depend on the market, eg. doing mid-large cap deals in a large Western European market could mean the boutique is well recognized across Europe, while Big4 in Eastern Europe has a very good reputation and handle a big chunk of the deal-flow in the country.
