New to REPE, Looking to leave footprint

I'm currently new to the REPE industry and have a few questions as I don't know anybody in it apart from the people I work with.

I've just recently completed an MSF (Dublin, IRE) and networked my way into a small shop (London, UK) with a headcount of about 8 people. The directors have said that they see good potential in me and have allowed me free reign to work on whatever aspect of the business I would like. I've spent most of my time working on acquisitions, modelling, a little AM and a vast amount of development so far, I'm still testing the water to see what I'm best at. The company is cash heavy so I miss out on working on any debt aspects of this type of business apart from doing leveraged cash flows for development appraisal purposes. The company deals with nearly every real estate asset class, very little on the hospitality side though. Companies latest acquisition was 12mil, don't know if this provides any scale to my story or not, we like to think we operate in a niche market over here.

My questions to WSO are;
- With my ultimate goal of being able to set up my own shop (lets say 8-9 years down the line), what areas of the business should I be exposing myself to the most over the next couple of years? I understand all are important but looking to focus on some areas more than others.
- I think I'd like to do an MBA but I'm not overly academic so is it worth it? I'm a very practical learner, not dull in any sense.
- Is there any way to define my ability as an analyst if I have no one to compare myself to in my own company?
