offer for financial analyst at a big 4 vs pnl analyst at a big 4
So ive recently managed to secure two offers and i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on what each job entails in more detail.
So the first offer is for a financial analyst position in the finance department of a big bank in my city. The position description summarized says i would be responsible for financial reporting and forecasting.
The second offer i have is for a global credit trading analyst position at a competing bank. This position basically entails running risk analytics for the fixed income division at my bank. They said at first i would be running pnl and as i learn more about the job my responsibilities would grow.
I am more interested in working in risk but i am worried since it seems like fixed income departments are taking a hit maybe this wont be a good area to go in. I probably dont know what the hell im talking about so hopefully someone could illuminate me on where i would end up 10 years down the line in either one of these jobs.
