Paper Trading at National Oil and Gas Company: Exit Opportunity into Bank/ CFA advisable ?
Hey,
I recently started as a paper trader at the trading arm of a National Oil and Gas company in London. I would be interested in switching positions into a bank/hedge fund for paper trading in a couple of years time, in order to be internationally more flexible.
My question would be if this is commonly seen in the industry? And if a CFA would open certain doors? My current company would be willing to sponsor me, however as they are not a financial institution therefore they believe that a FCA is not needed for paper trading.
Hope someone could help me out?
