PE vs Biotech BD

Hi all,

I’m a sophomore at a top 10 B-school. Like many I plan to take the tradition path into IB to eventually work in the PE or VC space. Curious which would be a better option for summer internships as I have interviews with two middle market PE firms as well as an interview for a BD role with a public biotech company.

Which will look better on the resume?

Would BD at a biotech allow for exit opps to late stage biotech VC down the road?

Both could be great experiences that set you up for IB internships. No reason to think too much about it unless you actually have offers from both.

All else being equal, I'd go for the PE role given the more similar nature of the work.
