Peak lapel for an intern job?
Apparently I have only two suits: one navy notch lapel and one grey peak lapel. The notch lapel one is already 4 years old and has grown a bit small for me. That being said, I might only have one suit left and it has peak lapel. I likely will get in internship in IBD or consulting and wonder if peak lapel is accepted for an intern position. I heard that only the bosses get to wear peak lapel.
Apparently you have suits?
But whatever you do don't wear peak lapel, this will get you fired quicker than doing anal with the bosses daughter. Seriously.
exactly what i fear.
OP, what are your thoughts on Pokemon?
First gen and Pikachu are the best ;)
Amazing that you even know the difference between suit types. Does it look flamboyant? If no, you're probably ok. Does it look like something Deion Sanders would wear? If no, you're probably ok.
Peak lapels (suits) - ok for business? (Originally Posted: 02/11/2011)
What do you think about peak lapels on suits? Are they a bit too formal like (i.e. they are often found on tuxedos) or are they generally accepted as OK in the workplace?
I did some research and one commentator said that this style is coming back in vogue for businesswear but I thought I would consult with my fellow monkeys to see what they think.
Ta!
No, not ok on wall street
"coming back in vogue" means not ok for business.
