PE’s that Sponsor MBA’s
I know Buy side firms don’t sponsor as much as consulting companies but does anyone have a list of pe’s (or just a few companies) they know that historically pay for you to get your MBA and comeback?
Thanks.

Apax
do you know if this includes Apax digital?
Do they pay for both years?
CD&R and Permira
partial or all of it?
Believe all - a good amount of firms pay for your 2nd year of bschool from what I've heard
any idea which ones? I'm beginning to think about recruiting out of banking and definitely want to make sure I don't miss out on shops that pay for MBA.
I wouldn’t let that be your primary determinant. If you’re coming back post MBA as a senior associate or VP and in it for the long-run, you’ll be making high 6 digits / breaking 7 digits and there are other factors outside of a $150k tuition you should consider
Noted. Perhaps I should clarify that my interest is with these PE firms that will pay for the MBA and take you back in a post-MBA role. I've been hearing a lot about the uncertainties with recruiting for PE out of MBA even with people that have previous MF PE experience. Therefore, if I'm already at a place where I like the people, fund size/direction, and they are willing to keep me on, definitely would be huge factor. This is definitely a best-case scenario and I don't know if I'd get this lucky
In that case, your focus should be on firms that are not as saturated up top and have a track record of bringing back associates. If that includes covering your MBA, great. If not, that's fine as long as there's a path upwards
He just wants to know the shops lol. I'm sure you mean well but watching you dodge this mans question with advice was so annoying
Why would they pay for the second year and not both years?
Do they let you go to any M7 mba or only Stanford/Harvard?
have seen CD&R guys at Columbia and Wharton
Warburg Pincus
How common is it? And do they pay for it 100%?
From recollection at a recruiting event as an analyst and speaking to someone who had just come back, it sounded like a small portion of the class (~25%) but yes it was fully paid for which is pretty huge
Adams Street
Any idea on Adam’s street associate comp
Its mainly a FoF, so not really comparable to the others listed here
A lot of firms have stopped actually paying and just will give return offers. From what I've seen/heard, a few firms that still pay include Warburg (but only for H/S/W), CD&R, GTCR, Bain. I hear a few of the larger newer firms like Brightstar have started to
That makes sense, thanks. Any idea why they don't open it up to other M7 schools?
There's obviously a drop-off in school quality after those 3, so I suppose they it's a rep/branding kind of thing?
