Life has a funny way of working out, and this position probably wasn't for you.
This might even be the very best thing that ever happened to you.
Think about it. Now you might actually have time to think for the next two years. You can do whatever you want. Read, exercise, have a girlfriend, travel, learn, launch a cool business. It's a whole new world, and it's all yours.
Keep in mind that investment banking is not the only way to be successful and that in fact most successful people aren't investment bankers. You've kicked some ass right here where you are now and will definitely kick more ass in the future.

Be careful with this kind of post. Some of us(read: many) know VPs/MDs at these banks and can easily suss you out from post history. We COULD drop a line phrased as a laugh at your expense that would be damaging to your brand.
Again I'm not going to do this because I haven't really tried to make any inroads at JPM and thus you aren't going to work for anyone I like but a lot of folks on here do and are that petty. I have done that to people in real life who were exceptionally abrasive.
Just trying to spread some positivity to those that just had their dreams crushed.

It didn't come off that way. It looked more like a condescending, snarky post from someone who had just been admitted to the program directed at those who didn't make it.
