Portfolio Management at an Operator

Does anyone have experience in a Portfolio Management role at an operator that manages a couple asset types, i.e. Industrial/Multi-family/Retail?

Came across an opportunity and reading through older posts, a majority of previous topics are related to PM roles at larger PE firms. I presume a majority of the day to day is tied to reporting to capital partners, ensuring all assets within the fund are meeting hurdles, allocation to certain geographies and working with Asset Managers.

Wanted to hear about day-to-day and progression. I am just concerned if this is primarily a 'reporting' type role and how this may be as a long term career. Perhaps as a senior role in this area, you have some weight as to approving deals that are sourced. Appreciate any and all insight.

Great question...anyone have any insight on comp for a PM analyst at a top 50 REPE/Operator? Some of my buddies who have worked at these firms have insinuated it's around 70-80k all-in for someone w/ 1yr+ exp at a large REPE
