Private Wealth Management work description on Resume

Hi,
During my last internship (PWM) I did not do much of anything, but cold calling all day long.
I'm trying to update my resume now, and I would like to get some feedback on what I have under the description of my last PMW internship.

PWM Intern:

• Conducted product, market, and client research, synthesizing data and performing product suitability for clients
• Part of a three-member team supporting and managing over 50 accounts of high net-worth individuals whose combined assets exceeded $350 mm
• Developed leads for prospective clients through phone calls, which directly increase AUM by over $350k
• Assisted in maintaining client database, working closely with team to relationship-manage clients and maximizing referrals and sales opportunities

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. BTW English is my second language so if you find any mistakes please let me know.

Main goal is to break into IB

Thanks

For an internship, I think your comments are fair and appropriate. If you were part of any special project at work I'd definitely highlight that experience. As it stands there is nothing to help you stand out from every other PWM candidate. If no special experience (it's OK to stretch a little - my general rule is if your boss would roll his eyes when reading your resume, you've probably gone too far) than some metric that measures you well against your peers. As a nitpick, I'd drop "assisted in maintaining" and just say something like "Proactively maintained". You could also reword point two to say something like "Provided x, y, z for $350MM of HNW/UHNW clients assets".

Remember these points will serve as little more than a conversation starter. So you want to be able to launch from these points into ones that are relevant to IB. Have examples prepared.

Best of luck.

consistency, you used 350k and 350mm. if you use mm instead of typing out million or using zeros, use m for thousands.

also tense consistency, developed leads and increase AUM. you could rephrase "Sourced potential clients leading to $350,000 increased AUM"

also, was it cold calling on product or was it for an event? you could incorporate that in there.
