Hi there!
I just wanted to ask you about my chances of getting into a top Msc Finance in Europe:
Gmat 680 (49Q)
Gpa: I am from Italy, we have average weighted (mine is about 29.3/30, so the predicted degree mark is 110 cum laude/110 (the maximum grade achievable in Italy) from a not renowned university (university of Sassari).
Ielts: 7.5 overall (8 listening 8.5 reading)
Work experience: summer internship at findomestic. Autumn internship in a local accounting agency.
Btw I am 21 and I would like to apply to a good Msc Finance in Europe (sth like Bocconi Msc Finance/Lse Finance & Economics/Warwick Msc Finance/ imperial Msc finance/ Lbs MIM )
Do you have any recommendations? Do you think my profile is good enough? (I know, I screwed the verbal part of the gmat, therefore I am planning to take it again, aiming for roughly 700/710)
Thank you all in advance!!

I know guys coming from minor Italian universities with lower grades, but higher than 105 anyway, getting into top programmes like Esade, Cass BS etc.
I honestly don't know how Uni of Sassari is but I think you can try to apply, also because you have already passed a GMAT with a good grade.
I surely recommend you to gain some experience in an international company (Big4??) also considering moving from your region, but in summary I think you can play your cards

appreciate your help! it's not that easy to get an interview in IBD or a BIG4 coming from here.
Uni of sassari is like any other minor university in italy, the economics department is considered the second among the mid size university in italy.
Any uni suggestion, in addition to the one you just mentioned?
Thank you in advance

I think IB should be very hard, but finding opportunities at Big4 could be much easier.
I don't know which uni reccomend you and I mentioned the ones I know accepted people from minor Italian uni without a 110/110.

Thanks

I mean that you can find top finance bs on any kind of ranking on internet (Hec, IE, Bocconi, LBS etc.)
The two uni that I mentioned are the ones in which I know guys that were acceppted even if they didn't come from top universities

Seems to me you've got a good shot at LSE or LBS - both would be the perfect way to land an IB role. You might want to check Ielts and gmat requirements, though, LSE is quite strict on that if I recall well. Regardless of the uni you got your bachelor at, I think italian students are well regarded from top unis, for how much emphasize is put on theory during the bachelor (i'm always struck by the number of people who don't get any experience before their master) - it's a problem when applying to ft position, but an advantage when trying to get into a target.

Btw, you might want to use an alias instead of your real name here

Yep, our university system (especially the public one) is extremely focus on theory and exams rather than on career experiences. The ielts should be ok ( i think the minimum is 7.0 except for oxbridge which asks for 7.5).
Gotta work on the gmat, i still think it s too low (considering the work experience) for a target school. 700 would be great.
Thanks for your help!
