Both are good options. Hard to go wrong here. So many things to weigh. Take your time and try your best to make a good decision. Hopefully it will go well

Makes sense if that is what you feel is best. Also there is a case to be made that if you want to be a career banker - PWP might make more sense as you form closer ties with the senior individuals. But no matter what, you are in a good spot. Good work!

The exits are similar with EVR having better exits - but PWP analysts can get the same interviews. If you like the PWP bankers more then I'd select PWP. Had this been EVR v. Mizuho or a smaller firm, then it's a tougher decision. But, PWP and EVR are similar caliber (EVR little better) and you should choose the team you like more.

Congrats on the offers btw.

Actually here it makes sense. He's saying PWP is similar enough to EVR and he likes PWP more so its an easy decision because EVR isn't that much better. Lets say he LOVES Mizuho but is also choosing between Evercore. Evercore is so much better than Mizohu that now he's deciding prestige vs a place he really fits into and so it would be a harder decision.

Both great banks, but I'd recommend taking the Evercore offer. As you said, better firm, much larger in size, deal volume, fees, and honestly a much better brand name. If you don't like it after SA22, I'm sure you can always go to PWP.

I was in a very similar position—turned down EVR for a place like PWP (similar caliber, liked the people better than EVR). No regrets at all, if you have better connections/relationships at one place that can honestly be more important than a marginal difference in "name brand". No wrong decision here, but if you love PWP I'd choose them.

Choose where you vibe the best and vibe out. Easier to go through 2 years of hell with people you actually fw
