Quant SA -> IBD FT

I’m currently doing quant research an AM (BlackRock / Fidelity)and am looking to get into investment banking. Is this a reasonable transition? I know FT recruiting will be tight this year, so I am wondering if yall recommend I do anything to maximimize my chances.
