Rank Fixed Income Trading Banks

Rank these banks in terms of if you were offered a general fixed income placement job at all the following banks, the order in which you'd accept would be... I'm not just talking about prestige/name, but where you would want to work (which includes to some degree prestige, but also type of people, culture, location etc...) I'm asking this because I think everyone is hung up on choosing the "best" name bank, but there are big differences between the cultures of some places that might lead me to choose a "lesser" name to be with "cooler" people.

JP Morgan
Morgan Stanley
Merrill Lynch
Credit Suisse
Deutsche Bank
Goldman Sachs
UBS
Lehman Brothers

Best Response

i think its kinda tough for someone to talk about a firms culture without working at the places but i will do my best to make a list combinging prestige/culture based on my experiences and experiences of my friends around the street

Best to worst

LEH GS- some people love it there some people hate it, gotta meet people and decide for yourself but cant beat the prestige DB JPM MS ML CS UBS- trading is in Stamford Ct, this is a dealbreaker to me
