real estate training materials?
hey all, so I am looking for real estate training materials. Anyone have any recommendations for courses / books that I can buy (or that are in public domain)? I've already bought Wall Street Prep, and GetREFM. But those are too advanced. I'm trying to give my wife some more basic training materials and not sure where I can get those. She's been an avid amateur real estate investor, but would like to step up her game. Advice is welcome.

What part of the industry is she interested in?
CRE Thanks. She's interested in buy-side, direct investment. So basically real estate finance 101. There's some videos with good content from the Columbia MSRED, but they are taken from a far distance with hand-cam type quality, so not terribly watchable. But this sort of stuff... real estate investment and finance 101.

Adventures in CRE has some good stuff on their website and Spencer has posted a lot on youtube. Udemy has some cheaper courses ($20-100ish) that are a bit more basic than the ones you said you already purchased. I started with a multifamily modeling basics course a couple years ago that I thought was great and didn't end up needing the WSP. But honestly, GetREFM Lv 1-3 should be perfect. They cover the basics if I remember correctly.
Those are all for modeling. A book I really enjoyed is "Confessions of a Real Estate Entrepreneur" should be able to pick up a copy for about $30 on Amazon.
That's some solid advice man. Thanks a lot! Exactly what I was looking for. Which Udemy courses by the way? Got links? I find there's quite a lot of variance in terms of quality. Anyone can just post up a class, and I'd say 80% is no good. But once in a while one does stumble onto a gem. Appreciate it, and will DM as well.

Adventures in CRE is a great resource.
Make sure to check out the WSO Real Estate Book List too.
No problem! I liked Adventures in CRE and Udemy since they were cheap or sometimes free. You got the good stuff with WSP & REFM, though.
You are right about Udemy though, they can be hit or miss. I'll DM you the one I took
If she is looking for a basic intro class. She may want to check out BiggerPockets.com. it is geared towards residential investing( SFR, condo, and MF) . They have some YouTube videos and podcast as well. It should help her build a should foundation, learning the basic metrics one would need for running the numbers on properties.
thanks I'll look into it. Appreciated.
