Posters on WSO have proved repeatedly that you do not need to be from a target school or target major to get IB. It's great if you are since it makes things easier. But it's definitely not necessary. Good luck!

Urdu is pretty epic language (I'm Pakistani). Very poetic in nature. It is considered the language of love in India/Pakistan.

Good luck man, you seem to be a smart individual, you should find something. I'm not sure IB is the right route for you considering you don't want to work long hours. I think you should look at something beyond Finance. Go work for the UN or something.

You can probably get decent interview opps for operations division coming from any background. You just need to show initiative, problem solving skills, and leadership qualities. Nothing too technical.
But if you are thinking about more technical or specialized areas like research, it can be more difficult with your background. Although I'm sure its been done before. MBB or management consulting might be more open to English majors who know how to communicate effectively and think qualitatively.
Your school career center is probably your best resource to apply for these positions. Good luck!
