Rejected at Columbia Business.

I just got rejected at columbia business and am pretty devastated. I thought I had a good shot and really wanted to be in NYC. All the students I know there are having a blast. I still haven't heard back from harvard, wharton, and chicago, but it looks like I'm not gonna get in since it's so close to the interview invite deadline. Oh well. I have to spend an extra year in shitty Chicago and reapply for round 1 next year.

Stay positive man.. you never know. Those adcoms sure are random.. you might get a call on deadline date.

hey look on the bright side.. at least you're not applying for R3 with 3 weeks left to go.

jjc1122 - just remember.. if you dont get in, then it wasn't meant to be and just reapply next year. If anything, additional experience will help you at wharton should you decided to reapply. harvard is a weird one - you could be the perfect candidate and still not get in because they filled up the quota of "your type".

Also, might want to consider applying to some R3 rounds - Stern, Tuck and LBS come to mind. Not quite the H/W/S trifecta, but they'll still do you good.

Actually.. on second though, don't apply at those schools since I am. ;)
