Renege
How bad is it to renege on an equity research SA offer from a top 3 bank, for an IB offer from another decently respected BB American bank? I know it is unlikely that I would be able to move into IB from ER from the first bank, however, I am worried about long term repercussions as well as the possibility of potentially losing both offers if one bank finds out I was still recruiting, and the other finds out I already accepted another offer. I know the circles on The Street are small, but is there really that much overlap between ER circles and IB?
