Reneging FT offer situation, HELP!

Next Friday, I'll be getting an offer after working at a commercial bank (think Citi/JMP/WF) and I am going to have two weeks to accept. I am currently rerecruiting right now for IB and have an interview lined up on the west coast at a great bank (think Evercore/GS/Citi/JPM/etc). The process might take longer than two weeks. If I accept the offer, and three weeks+ later I reneg, how big are the repercussions. They are on complete opposite coasts in different divisions( Commercial Banking vs Investment Banking). I want the security if I don't get the Investment Banking job so I want to accept it, but if I end up getting the IB job I cannot turn it down. Thoughts?
