Resigning | Best Practices

I am looking to accept an offer in the next 1-2 days, and figured I would pulse the group for best practices / general advice for approach (e.g., timing of resignation, taking data / resources / templates from current computer, taking time off before starting next role, etc.). Any advice based on experience would be appreciated. Thank you!

1-2 weeks off should be fine and you know best if you want to / should ask for more.

never take anything from current computer like templates etc. very likely violating a confidentiality and will get flagged and possibly sued
