Alternative Asset Managers like, , Apollo, Carlyle and Brook Field are beginning to market their offerings to retail investors (financial advisors at wirehouses, ibd's, ria's sfos and multi family offices) with dedicated distribution teams or Wholesalers for the first time. In addition, it seems like some traditional AM firms are creating dedicated alternatives , , and Nuveen to name a few. Curious to what folks know about the compensation (Salary, Commissions, Bonus or Carry) and potential growth opportunities exist across sales team including:
1) Internal Wholesalers/ Account Associates/ Internal Advisor Consultants
2) Hybrid Wholesalers, Regional Consultants or Business Development Account Managers
3) Senior Specialists, External Wholesalers or Account Managers
Insight into the operations of key accounts teams that work with home office platforms would be interesting as well.
