Review on Resume ?
So I had my final review after a 6 month internship in M&A
Overal comment is :
"An excellent intern with a lot of potential for this job"
also was granted the max bonus and extended an offer although I have 2 more years of studies left.
Do you guys think I should include one (or all) of those facts on my resume ?
on the resume your probably going to want to add just informational stuff about the experience you gained. I find it odd they extended you a full time offer without you graduating the upcoming year. Also seems weird you did a 6 month internship in M&A.....
Regardless I would keep the "max bonus" and "extended offer" off the resume..... those are topics for discussion. Once you put something on a resume you cant defend, backtrack, or handle the situation. You may very well get people who read this and think you come off as arrogant. Since your not there, there is no way to handle that reaction and justify your responses. Overall.... i would keep anything that is not face-face or voice-voice communication as neutral as possible.
For the part on your resume.. put down the firm and your position.... then put down the experience you gained such as "gained valuable information in the ______ industry...." or something where you just describe the experience in terms of how it has made you a better candidate for your future job.
In interviews you will often get the question "so how would your manager at _____ describe you" or "if i called up ______ today, what would they say about you" and many times they will ask if you have outstanding offers....... so all of those extra information parts of your resume can be better conveyed either in an interview or with a phone call..
yes you should especially highlight the fact that you got a max bonus im sure they will find that impressive i would actually bold that on your resume in capital letters and surround it with an asterisk
thanks for revealing this deal to everyone on this site

In europe 6 months or even 1year internships are more common than what you think. It's called gap year internship... About this offer, it was verbal by several 2 MDs. Thanx for your input though!
for kingbling89 I dont know for you but in this tough job market you wanna put everything on your resume that would make you stand out/differenciate you from other applicants
I suggest you don't answer back if that stuff irritates you so much
Hi jeedog, gratz for your offer ! As you say, 6 months internship are quite standard in Europe. Could you tell me in which country exactly do you work/study ?
Think France, UK, Italia
